Selected Poems

I love the names of labourers’ houses best,

For their quaint spellings and the tales they tell-

Like Lennix XII, The Daisy, Clatobel, Experience Cottage, Industry, Love Nest.

Reposa, Master Cot. I love as well

In God We Trust. and Peace, and Labour Blest.
